Our range consists of general purpose shipping containers, high cubes (which are like general purpose containers but have an extra foot height), refrigerated and modified or purpose built shipping containers. The standard SPAREBOX containers are available in five sizes: 6’, 8′, 10′, 20′ and 40′. We can advise you on the best available storage options, including any required modifications and accessories.

There’s no short answer; it depends pretty much on where you’re at and what you need. You’d choose short term hire, for instance, if you wanted secure, weatherproof extra storage during a property renovation, a DIY house move, event hire or indeed any number of temporary space situations. It’s also the most cost-effective choice if you’re after storage flexibility – say if the amount of space you need varies according to the season.

Maybe you plan to use your SPAREBOX long-term (two years plus). You could be better off buying it outright, because hiring for this time will cost roughly the same as an outright purchase.

Then again, long-term container hire could suit if you don’t have the capital to fund new building.

As always, cash flow plays a role. Tax considerations – weighing up differences between asset ownership and a hire agreement – need to be taken into account.

Before delivery, you sign a hire contract, pay for the first month (30 days is the minimum hire period), and a transport fee. Following that, the usual arrangement is a monthly invoice and payment by credit card. Businesses can complete a credit application form.

Whatever your needs, there’s a refrigerated SPAREBOX to fill the bill. Our most popular units are 20′ and 40′ units, all maintained to the highest standard. They feature fully insulated stainless steel interiors and aluminium T-flow floors for easy cleaning. Controls are easy to operate and the temperature range is a fully adjustable -25 to +25 degrees Celsius, operating on 3-phase or single phase power. You can choose to have yours installed by a qualified refrigeration mechanic and we also offer backup service. Unique to 1300SPAREBOX are 21ft & 22ft two pallet wide refrigerated containers. All our refrigerated containers are for hire or purchase.
